This module presents the basic governing principles of thermodynamics and gives a detailed overview of the methods needed to perform thermodynamic analysis of various systems. Fundamental thermodynamic nomenclature is presented along with the theory and application of the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics. Entropy is also covered to establish a foundation for its use in the analysis of various cycles.
